New Comedy Series ‘Adults’ Puts Modern Twist on Classic Sitcoms ‘Friends’ and ‘Seinfeld’
Stop us if you’ve heard this story — a group of twentysomething friends try out adulting in New York City. The twist: It’s 2025 and apartments are crazy expensive, so the pals (Owen Thiele, Amita Rao, Jack Innanen and Lucy Freyer) are crashing together at the childhood home of their unemployed friend, Samir (Malik Elassal).
As on Friends and Seinfeld, they scheme to get ahead at work and find love, with mixed success, but cell phones, massive student loans, work from home and OnlyFans make this series a fun update on a tried-and-true concept.
