Broadway star Ashley Park is stepping into a new role — substitute teacher — in the latest episode of “Celebrity Substitute.”

The Tony- and Grammy-nominated performer, 33, trades the stage for the classroom, teaching young students the art of musical theater in this week’s episode, which is now streaming.

Perhaps best known for playing Gretchen Wieners in the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical “Mean Girls,” she has also recently appeared in Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” and Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building.”

In “Celebrity Substitute,” she takes on a new challenge: guiding a room full of energetic kids through vocal warm-ups, choreography, and stage presence. But as the episode unfolds, the question remains — can Park keep up with the students, or will they end up stealing the show?

“Celebrity Substitute” is a digital-first series hosted by Julian Shapiro-Barnum of “Recess Therapy.” The show pairs celebrity guests with NYC public school classrooms, where they take on the role of substitute teachers while also clearing the schools Amazon Wish List. The series is part of Amazons initiative to support educators and bring engaging experiences to students.
