Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley have welcomed their first baby, a son, and a source reports that the longtime duo are “ecstatic.” After a busy few years (Barbie, anyone?), the actress is ready for a breather. “She’s taking time off to enjoy her new baby and bond with him.”

The 34-year-old met Tom, also 34, in 2013 on the set of Suite Francaise, and the duo got hitched three years later. They spent the first eight years of married life making their Hollywood mark, producing hit films — including I, Tonya; Barbie; and Saltburn — via their production company, LuckyChap Entertainment. While cementing their power-couple status, says the source, Margot was repeatedly asked baby questions — “and they were always so annoying. People would pry and judge, and she tried to be polite. She and Tom knew they wanted to have a family, but the timing was their business, nobody else’s.” There was a lot she wanted to accomplish first, like building their business. “And then,” says the source, “blissfully, the time was right.”

After years of establishing herself in Hollywood, continues the source, Margot is confident about juggling motherhood and her career. “Fortunately, she’s in the position where she can get help if and when she needs it, and then she has Tom. He’s already been amazing. They’re so happy to be the parents of a beautiful baby boy.”
