After Kylie Jenner‘s next big project was revealed, some people were less than thrilled that the reality star is venturing into acting.
Deadline revealed on Monday, October 5, that the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 29, will star in and executive produce a thriller series tentatively titled Bachelorette Weekend, which will be executive produced by her sister Kim Kardashian.
The project is reportedly finalizing a deal for a straight-to-series order at Hulu.
After the news was announced, Reddit users weighed in, with many criticizing the Kardashians star, who has hardly done any acting in her career.
“Why?” one Redditor mused. “When there are so many really talented actresses who can’t get a job? I’m really sick and tired of this damn family!”
“No thank you đ«¶,” another simply said, while one wrote: “Well I know what I will not be watching!”
“I have interviewed myself and have decided to hire myself,” one person added, seemingly referring to how Jenner will also be an executive producer of the series.

Not all the responses were negative, though. One fan account on X wrote, “So excited for this!!!! GO KYLIE GO!!! â€ïžâđ„â€ïžâđ„â€ïžâđ„.”
The project, created by author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver, follows a bachelorette weekend that ends in tragedy when the bride (Jenner) is found murdered in the pool.
Bachelorette Weekend is based on an unpublished book by Flora Collins, per Deadline.
In a Vanity Fair profile published earlier this year, Jenner opened up about what projects she’d like to work on following the premiere of Charli xcx‘s mockumentary The Moment, in which she made a cameo.
“I’ve actually gotten a few scripts, nothing that I feel is right yet, but I 100 percent want to do more,” she explained, adding that she’s open to working with different directors and creatives.
“I’m a fan of so many amazing directors, but I don’t know, maybe I need to dream bigger or something,” she said.
