Kylie Jenner ‘Weeped’ After Watching ‘KUWTK’ With Daughter Stormi to Explain Why Family Is Famous

Before the billions of dollars, there were just a few cameras — and Kylie Jenner is making sure her daughter knows exactly how her empire began.

During the first episode of Kid Cudi‘s podcast, Big Bro with Kid Cudi on April 1, the reality star, 28, revealed daughter Stormi, 8, recently inquired how Jenner and her family became household names, prompting her to show her an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“I sat her down, and I’m like, ‘We started a television show when I was a year older than you, and that’s why we’re all in this together,” Jenner explained of the E! series, which ran from 2007 to 2021. “She was like, ‘Can I watch it?’ And I’m like, ‘Sure.’”

As first reported by People, Jenner fast forwarded some scenes not suitable for her young child, but they managed to watch some family friendly moments together.

Looking back on that time in her life had more of an impact than she ever expected.

“I was so emotional after. I don’t know what hit me, but I was weeping in my bed,” Jenner admitted. “I don’t know why that happened to me.”

”I was just like maybe it’s like my daughter being the same age as I was [or] just seeing my family and I’m just feeling so grateful for all that we’ve built, but also mourning that closeness when we were all kind of living under the same roof,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder added. “It was very emotional. I didn’t know it was going to hit me like that.”

Jenner, who shares Stormi and her son Aire, 4, with her ex Travis Scott, also shared in the interview that her focus is family, crediting her kids with keeping her centered.

“I have my kids that I go home to that love me so much and have no idea what’s going on in this world,” she explained. “They definitely keep me grounded.”

However, she admitted she found it “scary” to think about her children becoming famous and how they would react to it later in life when they become teenagers in the spotlight.
