The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has overtaken The Kardashians in the reality TV ratings race — and it’s got matriarch Kris Jenner shaken up big time, a source tells Star.
While numbers for streaming services are not public, an insider recently told The U.S. Sun that the MomTokers’ audience now exceeds that of the Kardashians.
“Huge numbers of people are discovering the show every week,” confirms Star’s source, adding that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ growing popularity hasn’t gone unnoticed by the powers that be at Hulu and its parent company Disney. “They’ve bent several of their other big franchises to include cast members.”
“Mormon Wives topping the Hulu reality ratings really stings Kris because of all the work she put into evolving the show for the streaming era,” says the source, adding that the momager, 70, wants to ramp up storylines in 2026 so that The Kardashians can reclaim its number one spot at Hulu.

In the meantime, “Kris is playing it cool and treating the surge in Mormon Wives interest as a temporary threat, not an existential one,” dishes the source, noting that the Kardashian-Jenners have endured the rise and fall of other trendy shows over the years, including Duck Dynasty and Jersey Shore. “At the end of the day, her family has always come out on top.”
Still, there’s always the chance that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives isn’t a passing fad. “Kris is monitoring the situation closely while still playing as nicely as possible within the Hulu corporate family,” adds the source.
