Katy Perry Is ‘Very in Love’ With Justin Trudeau — Why He ‘Fits Her Needs’

Katy Perry is definitely feeling fireworks.

The singer — who made her first public appearance with beau Justin Trudeau on October 25 in Paris — is “very in love” with the former Prime Minister of Canada, a source told the Daily Mail in an article published Wednesday, October 29.

“Katy had been looking for a strong, older man to date who is also high profile,” the source said of Perry, 41, who split from ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom in July.

The “Dark Horse” singer is especially “happy” that Trudeau, 53, is a politician rather than an artist, the source revealed.

“Justin is just the man for her. He fits her needs. She is thrilled,” the insider said. “There is no way she would go public with him unless it was a mega big deal. Yes, it is a mega big deal with Justin.”

Perry and Trudeau were first linked this summer following the pop star’s shocking split. For his part, the politician was previously in a relationship with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, his wife of 18 years, but the two separated in 2023.

Perry appeared to address her new relationship with the dad of three earlier this month during a concert at the O2 Arena, and the two were seen walking hand-in-hand over the weekend as they celebrated the musician’s birthday in Paris.

According to the Daily Mail source, the mom of one thinks their love story is written in the stars. “She’s very into astrology,” said the insider. “Katy said he is a solid guy and she loves that he is an earth sign, a Capricorn. She is a Scorpio, like a total typical Scorpio, so she is very driven and headstrong. So she likes having an earth sign as a boyfriend because it grounds her.”

The source added that Perry is constantly on the website Astrology Zone and believes in “psychics, numerology, angel numbers, past life healers and Tarot cards.”

Added the insider, “She thinks she and Justin may have intersected in some way in a past life.”

As Perry continues performing on her Lifetimes Tour, which is currently in Europe, she may even see more of the Canadian during her downtime.

The source revealed, “She wants him to meet her in Paris and Barcelona for her tour stops next month so they can have a romantic time when she’s not on stage.”
