Jodie Turner-Smith recently called coparenting “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.” Now she’s saying it’s pricey as well. On Dec. 23, the 38-year-old filed docs in an L.A. court alleging that her ex Joshua Jackson hadn’t paid her anything in child support for their 4-year-old daughter, Juno, since their October 2023 split. She’s asking the former Dawson’s Creek star to fork over $8,543 a month in retroactive child support and $28,641 per month in spousal support, plus $250K in fees to cover her attorney costs.

At the time of their split, Jodie had asked for joint custody of Juno and did not request spousal support (the pair had no prenuptial agreement). But as the divorce drags on, the Acolyte actress claims that Josh, 46, has reneged on his promise to support her and their child. “He said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother,” she says in the legal docs, asserting that all she wants is to be able to purchase a home in L.A. and to care for her daughter.

An insider tells Star Josh resents being “painted as a deadbeat dad,” adding that the split is likely to get ugly. “Whatever they agreed to before wasn’t in writing. Now it’s a mess.”
