Jennifer Lopez is in a challenging spot with her career at the moment, a source tells Star.
The 56-year-old singer — who just wrapped up the European shows for her Up All Night Tour — is “under an enormous amount of pressure right now” and “feeling very vulnerable,” the source shares.
“The European dates left her deflated because she expected more positive feedback, and instead, she was dealing with wardrobe mishaps and harsh reviews,” says the source.
The source says that the “On The Floor” songstress has now shifted her attention to her upcoming Las Vegas residency, “but the numbers are not where they need to be — and that is eating at her.”
“She knows Dolly [Parton] is selling out instantly, and she can’t help but compare,” the source claims.
The source adds that “getting dropped by her label” served as “another blow to her confidence” and that “she still has not wrapped her head around why it happened.”
In July, a source told The Sun that Lopez had split from her record label BMG Rights Management following lackluster sales for 2024’s This Is Me . . . Now.
“Jennifer is obviously massively successful and talented but it’s been hard for her to find a label who she’s on the same page with,” the insider told The Sun.
As Lopez continues to navigate this new chapter in her career, “There’s a real sense that she is trying to do too much at once,” the source tells Star, “and it’s starting to wear her down.”
