No good deed goes unpunished? Ben Affleck’s recent gesture to ex Jennifer Lopez — gifting her his share of the $60 million mansion they purchased in 2023, no strings attached, per TMZ — has caused some confusion for the pop star.
After Ben, 53, and J.Lo, 56, tried in vain to sell the property following their 2024 split, Ben finally opted for a clean break and handed over his stake. Now Jennifer “can’t help but see it as proof he’s the good guy she fell in love with, and she’s back to hoping that somehow, they might be able to work it out.”
The source insists Ben is simply trying to buy his way out of a tricky situation. “He feels like this will absolve him of the way he messed with her head [during their marriage]. But that’s typical of Ben — he’s trying to avoid drama and only creating more.”
