I love putting homes together and creating spaces,” Jennifer Aniston has said about her passion for home design. “I can walk into a house and see what it needs.” The 56-year-old has made an oasis for herself in the 8,500-square-foot midcentury-modern mansion she pur- chased for $21 million, which was built in 1965 on a 3.27-acre lot in the Bel Air neighborhood of L.A. and is perhaps her favorite of her several properties.

It’s telling that, while she and then-husband Justin Theroux shared the abode after they married in 2015, the Emmy winner decided to hold on to it following their 2018 split. (In 2022, Jen also snapped up a $14.8 million four-bedroom, three- and-a-half bath Mediterranean-style farmhouse in Montecito, home to Gwyneth Paltrow, Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and a host of other celebs.)

The house, designed by famed architect A. Quincy Jones, got a revamp from designer Stephen Shadley and others. “‘Zen’ was one of the first words she used,” Shadley says. A pool house has its own kitchen, while Jen’s master bath includes a glass panel that slides back at the touch of a button to open to a lush garden.
