Jennifer Aniston Jokes About How She and Sandra Bullock ‘Shared’ Tate Donovan As a Boyfriend

Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock can make light of their dating overlap!

The A-list actresses sat down for a conversation for Interview Magazine, published on Tuesday, September 7, in which Aniston, 57, brought up how they both dated actor Tate Donovan in the ’90s.

“We’ve shared a boyfriend,” the Friends alum pointed out. “That’s how much we love each other.”

Donovan, 62, dated Bullock, also 62, from 1990 to 1994 and then Aniston from 1995 to 1998.

In a 2020 conversation between Aniston and Bullock for Interview Magazine, the Miss Congeniality actress revealed that she and The Morning Show star first met through Donovan.

“Let’s journey back. I’m trying to remember the year of the Golden Globes, at that little restaurant. CAA always had that party,” Aniston said, to which Bullock recalled, “Yes, and we were introduced by our former boyfriend. I say ‘our’ because you and I both partook of this one human being.”

Bullock said the O.C. alum “was a very patient human being, given that he dated us both,” and Aniston — who is currently dating hypnotist Jim Curtis — joked, “He seems to have a type.”

“Talented. Funny. Kind. Introspective. Generous,” the Ocean’s 8 actress quipped, to which Aniston added, “Lovers of architecture, lovers of interior design.”

The two stars met for a second time at a friend’s wedding, Bullock told the outlet in 2020, recounting, “I sent you a shot, and I recall that we went back and forth a few times, and if I’m not mistaken, that was the first time I got sick drinking with you.”

In the recent Interview Magazine conversation, the woman also said their friendship blossomed at Gwyneth Paltrow‘s house.

“You and I sat next to each other and we didn’t pipe down,” Aniston told Bullock. “I don’t think we spoke to anybody else.”
