Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz Make a Triumphant Return in Back in Action

The movie’s title aptly sums up its plot as well as its stars’ personal lives: Jamie Foxx recently recovered from a devastating 2023 stroke that left him unable to walk, and this is Cameron Diaz’s first movie since 2014’s Annie.

The two play Matt and Emily, your average suburban parents with an unexpected entry on their résumés — they both previously worked as CIA agents. But like many spies before them (Bond, James Bond in No Time to Die, Liam Neeson’s Bryan Mills in Taken), they’re forced to take on a new mission when their cover is blown… and this time their kids are along for the adventure, upping the stakes considerably.

Thanks to some great fight scenes and their infectious onscreen chemistry, Foxx and Diaz are definitely back in action.
