ITO EN Debuts Limited Edition Oi Ocha With Dodgers Star Shohei Ohtani

In celebration of the upcoming Major League Baseball season, ITO EN, known as the world’s leading unsweetened green tea beverage brand, announced its latest launch: a limited-edition Oi Ocha bottle featuring Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani.

Ohtani, who is regarded as one of baseball’s most prominent figures, has teamed up with ITO EN to promote the benefits of green tea.

“This year marks the second year of my relationship with ITO EN. I have loved Oi Ocha since I was a child, and I still drink it in LA,” Ohtani said in a statement. “ITO EN and I will continue to work together to spread the appeal of tea to people all over the world, so please keep an eye on us.”

Ohtani credits Oi Ocha, part of his daily routine, for helping him maintain focus and perform at his best on the field.

The special collector’s item, showcasing Ohtani in casual attire, is available at various retailers in the U.S. and on Amazon for $18 per 12-pack. A new bottle design, featuring Ohtani in his Dodgers uniform, is set to be released in May.

“Whether enjoyed at home or the baseball field, were thrilled to bring limited-edition Shohei Ohtani Oi Ocha bottles to the United States as they promise a refreshing taste of Japan while offering a tribute to Ohtani, a world-class athlete in baseball,” said Daisuke Honjo, President and Executive Officer of ITO EN. The initiative extends ITO EN’s mission to spread Japanese tea’s cultural and health benefits globally.

Part of the proceeds from this special edition supports “Green Tea for Good,” a social contribution project launched last year with Ohtani. As part of the initiative, ITO EN employees planted cherry trees in Torrance, Calif., and in Hawaii, they carried out a clean-up event at Kapiolani Park on Oahu.
