Inside Princess Kate’s High-Profile Return to Easter Services Following Cancer Diagnosis
Prince William and Princess Kate made a triumphant Easter return to royal duties — their most high-profile appearance since Kate’s 2024 cancer diagnosis — alongside George, Charlotte and Louis.
They’re back! The Prince and Princess of Wales made a high-profile return to royal duties on April 5, joining the rest of The Firm on Easter Sunday for the first time since Kate’s 2024 cancer diagnosis. The couple even led the procession into St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla, stepping out with Prince George, who turns 13 this summer, Princess Charlotte, who will be 11 on May 2, and Prince Louis, who marks his 8th birthday April 23 — the kids’ first public appearance since Christmas. Reports noted the future king is now nearly as tall as his 5-foot-9 mother (even in heels!).

Notably absent? Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, both 66, who were front and center at last year’s Easter walk. On April 7, the Daily Mail confirmed the disgraced former Duke of York had finally moved into his newly renovated residence, Marsh Farm, on the king’s Sandringham estate.
