Back to the future! When Benny Blanco learned his fiancée, Selena Gomez, had missed out on prom during her child-star years, the 37-year-old turned back the clock. Donning a tux, he whisked his dolled-up future wife off to the local mall — in a stretch limo, no less — for professional “prom” pics April 24.

“He’s full of surprises and so sweet when he springs them on Selena,” says a source. “He’s all about the grand gestures.”

The music producer has never been shy about trumpeting his love for the pop star, 32, an industry pal of his for more than a decade before things turned romantic in 2023. “By the time we [started] dating, it’s like, ‘Whoa,’” he recently gushed, adding,

“My biggest regret is that we… waited this long to be together. But I know it was perfect and right.”

For her part, Selena — who spent eight tumultuous years with Justin Bieber — revealed on a recent podcast that her first kiss with Benny was “completely different,” adding she’d “never felt that way” before. Says the source, “He looks out for her and is so in tune with her emotional well-being.”

His sweet stunt promises more whimsy to come for the pair’s upcoming nuptials. “They’re going to be so romantic and fun,” continues the source. “If Benny went to this much trouble for prom, just imagine how their wedding’s going to be.”
