Ashley Tisdale has finally pushed Hilary Duff too far, Rob Shuter reported in his Naughty But NiceSubstack on Thursday, January 8.
Despite her viral January 1 essay in The Cut describing their mom group as “toxic” and “mean,” sources told Shuter that Tisdale is the one who exhibits “diva behavior” and “thrives on chaos.”

“Ashley will start a fight over who brought the wrong snack to a lunch, or who responded too slowly in the chat,” one insider revealed, while another source added that the High School Musical actress, 40, will “show up late, leave early, then post passive-aggressive memes about everyone else’s parenting. It’s like living in a reality show, except nobody signed up for the drama.”
The Younger alum, 38, has repeatedly tried “to smooth things over,” the insider reported.
“Hilary sent her private messages saying, ‘Just tell us if you don’t want to come. Stop stirring drama,’” a source told Shuter. “Ashley never replies, then posts a long Instagram story about being excluded — it’s maddening.”

As Star previously reported, Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, mocked Tisdale in a January 6 Instagram Story, and sources told Shuter it’s because the “Come Clean” singer is also “done playing nice” with her fellow Disney Channel alum.
“Hilary’s done letting Ashley control the narrative,” one insider said. “She’s calm, but everyone in the group knows she’s done tolerating the nonsense.”
