George Clooney is a Hollywood icon, but he faces a tough crowd at home — with his kids.
“Even at 8, I’ve got like, my daughter rolling her eyes now, which is a new thing,” Clooney, 64, said during a Wednesday, December 3 episode of the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce.
“I’d say, ‘Hey, your dad’s a big star’ and she just rolls her eyes,” added the Jay Kelly actor, who shares 8-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with wife Amal, 47.
“How do you handle that? Are you strict? … What’s your parenting style?” Jason asked.
“I’m a little strict — I’m not a nutbag about it. My kids are pretty good, my kids are really well-behaved,” said Clooney. “But I have to say, it’s a pretty funny adventure raising kids, because you don’t realize how much they’re listening to you.”

Clooney explained that during a recent trip to school, someone cut him off in traffic and he blurted out an explicative.
“I’m driving and about five minutes later, in the backseat, I hear, ‘f**king a**hole,’” he told the Kelce brothers, who laughed.
“And you know they’re going to say that — and my wife’s going to hear it — and then, I’m dead,” said George.
It’s unclear whether the Ocean’s Eleven actor got anything in return for his appearance on the podcast, but perhaps his fame could come in handy now that Travis is engaged to Taylor Swift.
“They want to see Taylor Swift,” George told E! News of his children in June 2025. “The funniest part is that they have no idea of references. Robert DeNiro will be at the house and they’re like ‘Who’s that?’ They don’t care.”
