Fasten Your Seatbelt: Mel Gibson’s Latest Thriller ‘Flight Risk’ Takes You on a High-Flying, Action-Packed Adventure!

Fasten your seatbelt for an action thriller about a roughneck pilot named Daryl (Wahlberg) who is much more than an aviation expert. In what seems like a simple plan, Daryl is hired to transport Winston (Grace), a reluctant government witness who’s being forced to testify against a mob boss, and Madolyn, his air marshal minder (Dockery, way far away from the comforts of Downton Abbey).

The flight quickly hits turbulence, however, when the passengers discover that Daryl is actually a hit man hired to “eliminate” Winston. While Madolyn and Winston manage to subdue him — at least temporarily — even bigger, more deadly threats soon emerge.

Not only is their tiny plane constantly in danger of crashing into the snow-covered mountains of the Alaskan wilderness after Madolyn is forced to take over the pilot’s seat, but the fighter jet sent to guide them to a safe landing may not actually be on a rescue mission.

Directed by Mel Gibson, the film follows a familiar flight path (see: Con Air, Air Force One), but it’s nice to see an old-fashioned popcorn movie that’s not based on a comic book.
