Bruce Willis’ family has rallied around him as the 69-year-old battles frontotemporal dementia, posting loving videos and tributes to the star. The progressive brain disease affects language, behavior, personality and decision-making. While in recent weeks the Die Hard actor has been spotted being taken for car rides looking wan, his ex-wife Demi Moore recently shared some good news, telling CNN that her former husband of 13 years is in a “stable place.”

The Substance star and her daughters, Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and 30-year-old Tallulah, along with Bruce’s wife Emma Heming and their two young daughters, are cherishing this time. While admitting that it’s been “very difficult” to watch Bruce fight the disease, Demi said she’s also been uplifted. “I’ve shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely,” the 62-year-old said of facing a loved one’s dementia. “It’s so important for anybody who’s dealing with this to really meet them where they’re at, and from that place, there is such loving and joy. There’s great loss, but there is also great beauty.”
