A new History Channel series about recently declassified government secrets hosted by “X-Files” star David Duchovny is set to premiere next month.

“Secrets Declassified with David Duchovny,” produced by Nutopia in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment, will explore some of the most secretive and bizarre government activities throughout history.

Duchovny, a two-time Golden Globe winner, serves as both host and executive producer. The ten-part series will examine cases ranging from black sites and covert surveillance programs to classified medical experiments and secret weapons. Each episode will feature expert interviews, newly revealed documents, and an in-depth look at some of the most astonishing and unsettling government operations.

“Ive always been drawn to explorations of the more complicated aspects of our lives, leaning into conversations that dig below the surface and unlock a more interesting story,” Duchovny said. “Were telling the incredible stories of government secrets that have only recently come to light. This series proves that secrets can be uncovered, and mysteries can still be unraveled.”

The series will cover a range of declassified topics, including the mystery of Area 51 and the real-life mission behind the Hollywood film “Argo.”

Nutopia is known for creating award-winning documentary series and a new genre of television, the “mega-doc,” combining epic cinematography with action-driven drama or high-end documentary and A-list talent. Nutopia is known for the award-winning series “One Strange Rock” for National Geographic and Emmy-award-winning series “African Queens: Njinga.”

“Secrets Declassified with David Duchovny” premieres on Friday, April 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and will be available for next-day streaming on the HISTORY Channel app, history.com, and major TV providers VOD platforms. Episodes can also be purchased ad-free on Amazon Prime Video and other digital platforms.
