Chrishell Stause Slams ‘Insecure’ Katharine McPhee After Spencer Pratt Fundraiser: ‘Worst Advice’

Chrishell Stause is not holding back when it comes to sharing her thoughts on Katharine McPhee.

The Selling Sunset star set social media on fire after leaving a blunt comment on a viral TikTok video on May 17 that recapped McPhee’s relationship journey.

The video showed her first marriage to Nick Cokas, who is 19 years her senior, before moving onto her current marriage with music legend David Foster, who is 35 years older than her.

“One day she will find her real inner confidence, but it won’t come until after she is disgarded [sic] enough times by the problematic men she backs,” Stause, 44, commented. “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.”

The remarks quickly ignited backlash and discussion across social media, with fans split over whether the comments were brutally honest or unnecessarily harsh.

The Netflix fan favorite later went on to write on Threads, “If you’re in these streets campaigning for Trump backed Pratt, yeah, I’m gonna eye roll your advice on men Katherine [sic].”

McPhee — who, along with Foster, recently threw a fundraiser for Spencer Pratt‘s campaign to become the next mayor of Los Angeles — has yet to respond to the backlash.

But in the past she has consistently defended her bond with Foster, who she married in 2019 and who she shares son Rennie, 5.

In an interview with People in 2024, she insisted they don’t think about their ages in general.

“We’re both very similar in this way,” she said at the time. “I welcomed my 40s, and David didn’t have any conversations about, like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe I’m 75,’ or I didn’t say, like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe I’m 40. I’m really mourning that.’”

“It’s like we sort of just accept life as it comes, and we’re not fighting getting older, because it just keeps getting better,” she added.
