St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner, and Marcado 28 co-founder Michael Voltaggio, a “Top Chef” winner and Michelin Star recipient, is offering two exclusive cocktail recipes to celebrate.

Marcado 28, a tattoo-inspired tequila brand, launched last year with Blanco and Reposado offerings, featuring original label art by tattoo artists El Sando and Billy Baca, highlighting Voltaggio’s status as a “tattoo rockstar” who has covered Ink Magazine. The brand’s tequila is crafted with 100% blue agave using time-honored techniques for a bold yet smooth sipping experience.

Both new cocktails from Voltaggio are green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, and incorporate cucumber. One is a fiery take utilizing the Reposado and the other is a crisp and refreshing drink featuring the Blanco and matcha.

The Marcado 28 Mean, Green, Tajin includes 2 oz. of Marcado 28 Reposado Tequila, 1 oz. Triple Sec, 1 oz. lime juice, and 1 oz. of blended or juiced English cucumber and seeded Jalapeño. Paint the rim of the glass with agave syrup then dip the rim in Tajin and fill with ice. Juice or blend the cucumber and Jalapeño, and place 1 oz. in a shaker along with the remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously then strain into the glass, and garnish with a Jalapeño and lime Volt.

The Marcado 28 Matcha Verde includes 2 oz. Marcado 28 Blanco Tequila, 2 oz. Marcado 28 silver tequila, 2 oz. fresh lime juice, 1 oz. triple sec, 0.5 oz agave syrup, 6 cucumber slices, a small handful of cilantro, and black lava salt for the rim. Paint the rim of the glass with agave syrup then dip the rim in the salt and fill with ice. Muddle the cucumber and cilantro in a shaker, then add tequila, matcha, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup and ice. Shake vigorously, strain into the glass, and garnish with a cucumber wheel or wedge.
