Charlie Sheen Has Been Denise Richards’ ‘Rock’ Amid Aaron Phypers Divorce and Patrick Muldoon’s Death

Denise Richards has been through so much in recent times, a source tells Star, but the news of ex-boyfriend Patrick Muldoon’s death really tipped her over the edge.

“She’s been in floods of tears on a daily basis,” the source reveals.

The Wild Things actress, 55, dated the Days of Our Lives alum, 57, in the ’90s and the two remained close friends following their split.

“I don’t know [life] without you,” a “deeply heartbroken” and “devastated” Richards wrote in an emotional Instagram tribute to Muldoon on Tuesday, April 21.

“There are so many things she wanted to say to him and the fact he’s gone is something she simply can’t process or move past,” says the source.

It doesn’t help that Richards is also battling estranged husband Aaron Phypers in divorce court, Star’s source notes. “It’s cost her an absolute fortune and sapped so much of her time and energy.”

Fortunately, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has “plenty of support on hand,” adds the source, including ex-husband Charlie Sheen, who has been a “total rock.”

“He and other loved ones are imploring Denise to get all the help she can during this time, preferably at a wellness facility, so she can learn tools to cope and find a way to emotionally heal,” says the source. “Trying to handle it all on her own or without help simply isn’t working.”
