Candace Cameron Bure seemingly opened up on why raising three kids hasn’t always made life easy for her and husband Valeri Bure.
During the Monday, November 17 episode of Stay True with Madison Prewett Troutt podcast, the Full House alum shared that once children enter the picture, even strong marriages can shift dramatically.
“Kids come in and they demand all of you,” Candace , 49, explained. “Then they get a little older and they pit you against your husband… they’re little manipulative beings that are so stinking cute.”
Candace — mom to Natasha, 27, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23 — stressed the importance of “finding rhythms” and intentionally carving out time for your partner.

“You have to prioritize the relationship,” she advised. “But I’m not talking about in a superficial way of like, ‘Oh, we just have to have a date night once a week.’”
“I’m like, ‘No, you need to figure out what’s important to your spouse, and they need to figure out what’s important to you,’” Bure continued.
As Star previously reported, Candace admitted earlier this month that she’d weathered “times of deep brokenness” in her marriage but credited faith with pulling her and Valeri back together. “God loves to restore and heal,” she explained at the time.
Now approaching her 30th anniversary with husband Valeri, Candace says flexibility is key: “You have to continually adapt to what’s new to figure out your rhythms,” she shared on the podcast. “And the rhythms are going to keep changing.”
