Brooklyn Beckham Trolled Over ‘Burnt’ Spaghetti as Critics Slam His Cooking Skills

Brooklyn Beckham is facing another round of criticism over his cooking skills after sharing a video of himself preparing a supposedly “burnt” spaghetti dish.

The aspiring chef, 27, posted an Instagram video on Saturday, October 10, showing himself making spaghetti all’assassina using tomato paste, Rao’s tomato sauce, store-bought stock and pre-peeled garlic.

Rather than boiling the pasta separately, Brooklyn cooked the raw spaghetti directly in the tomato mixture before serving up the finished dish.

He captioned the clip “spaghetti all’assassina 🍝,” referring to the traditional Italian dish from Puglia that is deliberately cooked in a skillet to create a crispy, charred texture.

However, not everyone was impressed with the former photographer’s attempt, with several followers criticizing both his choice of ingredients and the finished result.

“A tube of paste, a jar of sauce, ready prepped garlic….. that’s not real cooking oh and the spaghetti looks half cooked. No thanks,” one person commented.

Another joked, “This is not al dente, but al hammer🔨,” while a third wrote, “This looks… in a word – vile. It’s not even cooked properly 😂.”

Others defended Brooklyn, pointing out that the dish is supposed to have a charred appearance.

“Those who don’t know, spaghetti all’ assessina is a typical plate in Plugia region of Italy, and this is a quite good representation of the recipe. So calm down everyone, it’s delicious 😋,” one supporter commented.

Brooklyn also appeared to poke fun at the backlash, per Page Six, sharing a meme featuring Ross Geller from Friends and reminding critics that the pasta was meant to be burnt.

It isn’t the first time Brooklyn has divided opinion over his culinary creations. In August, he sparked another online debate after using seawater to cook pasta, with some viewers questioning whether the video was intended as “rage bait.”

His latest cooking controversy comes amid his ongoing estrangement from parents David and Victoria Beckham.

As Star previously reported, in January, Brooklyn made a series of allegations against his famous family in a lengthy Instagram statement, including claims that his mother pulled out of designing wife Nicola Peltz‘s wedding dress at the last minute.

He also alleged that his parents tried to pressure him into signing away rights to his name and claimed Nicola, 31, had been repeatedly excluded by his family.

Victoria, 52, subsequently addressed the family tensions in an interview with WSJ. Magazine, saying that she and David, 51, had always tried to “protect and love their children.”

“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” she said.
