Angelina Jolie: It’s Over (Sorta)

“Eight years after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the exes have finally reached a settlement. Saying his client has been “focused on finding peace and healing for their family” during that time, Angelina’s lawyer James Simon told one news outlet, “Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.” The battle has been raging since 2016, when the 49-year-old filed after alleging the dad of six was drunk and abusive on a flight aboard a private jet. (An attorney for Brad said at the time that he had accepted responsibility for some things in his past but would not accept responsibility for things he did not do. After an investigation, no charges were brought.) The exes warred over custody of their children for so long that only two are still minors.

While the divorce may be over, for the Maria star and her ex, 61, the fight continues. Brad is suing Angelina for allegedly illegally selling her shares of their winery, Château Miraval, in 2021. She claims he’s trying to force her to sign an NDA banning her from discussing their relationship and his alleged abuse. No court date has been set.”
