Aaron Rodgers Plans to Spend Time With ‘Pregnant Wife’ and Reconnect With Family After NFL Retirement

Aaron Rodgers has yet to retire from the NFL, but he’s already getting plans in motion for the future.

The NFL star, 42, who previously declared that the 2026 NFL season will be his last, spoke to Adam Schein of Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, where he was asked what he hopes to be doing after his final year in the NFL comes to a close.

“I’m hopefully going to be supporting my pregnant wife because we’re going to start a family, and I am not going to be making a lot of appearances or statements,” he said in a preview for the interview — which will air in full on September 8 — posted to X Friday, September 4. “And I’m looking forward to a life of quiet after 22 years in the pros and three in college and getting my body healed up and working on a family. That’s what I’m looking forward to.”

While Rodgers, who is currently playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, made clear his wife, Brittani, is not pregnant, he’s hoping she will be by next year.

“I’m talking about I’m hoping that I have a pregnant wife by next [year] this time,” Rodgers maintained. “I can’t wait for that next chapter of life and all that that entails, and sleepless nights and crying babies and changing diapers and all those things. “I’m looking forward to all of it.”

Little is known about Rodgers’ mysterious wife, outside of the fact that the pair got married during the 2025 offseason. The football star has been adamant about keeping his personal life private, though, as Star previously reported, Brittani played an important part in his decision to return to football in 2026.

The former Green Bay Packers quarterback is also hoping to reconnect more with his family. Rodgers shared a rare look at his family life in a post on Instagram back in July, which saw him spending time with his parents, Darla and Ed Rodgers, and older brother, Luke Rodgers, following a rumored years-long rift. His younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, was absent from the Instagram capture, however.

“I’m having a lot of fun being Uncle Aaron,” he told Schein, 49. “I mean, I have a few godkids that I’m involved with, but being Uncle Aaron to my brother’s kids has been a lot of fun. And the more I’m around them, the more I get excited, and so does the wife about having some of our own.”

Rodgers is unlikely to share much more about his family life when the time does come, however, with the sports phenom noting that the July family photos are the last peek he plans to share into his personal life.

“There’s been a narrative out there. There’s not been a lot of information that’s truthful about it,” Rodgers added of the rumored rift between him and his side of the family. “And I think that the personal life should stay personal and private. But I feel like it was part of the full-circle to just one time post something, and never again. So that that narrative can finally be put to rest.”
