Aaron Rodgers’ Ex Responds Amid Claims He Was ‘Emotionally Unavailable’ During Their Relationship

Aaron Rodgers‘ ex-girlfriend has broken her silence after the NFL star claimed he was “emotionally unavailable” throughout their relationship.

“My ex is currently on a press tour talking about how he never loved anyone he dated after 2017,” Mallory Edens, who dated the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback in 2022, captioned a Monday, September 21 Instagram post. “Unfortunately for him, I am also on a press tour, for a movie inspired about how down bad I was.”

“Really exciting time for competing narratives!” continued Edens, 30, adding that the new film she produced, Charlie Harper, comes out on Friday. The romantic drama, starring Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson, is about a couple facing challenges as the man struggles with various issues.

The remarks come nearly two weeks after Rodgers, 42, appeared on the Not Just Football podcast and dished on his past relationships.

“I met my wife in 2017,” he said during the September 10 episode. “At the time, she was leaving the states and going back to Europe and my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just, like, proposing right there.”

After his now-wife, Brittani — whose full name and image have never been made public — returned to Europe, Rodgers moved on with race car driver Danica Patrick, followed by actress Shailene Woodley, and Edens.

“I was emotionally unavailable for those seven or eight years because I’d met the person that was going to change my life,” he added. “And after that, I just poured everything I had into football, and I think I got a lot out of that for sure, but I knew I was supposed to be with this one person, but we were separated by an ocean for a lot of it.”

Rodgers ultimately rekindled his relationship with Brittani in late 2024 before secretly marrying in early 2025.
