‘90210’ Star Luke Perry Dead At 52 After Massive Stroke

The ‘Riverdale’ actor was hospitalized last week.

90210 star Luke Perry has passed away on March 4 at the age of 52.

The Riverdale actor suffered a stroke on February 27. It was described as “massive,” and doctors placed the actor in a coma to try to give his brain a chance to recover.

A statement from his representative said, “Actor Luke Perry has passed away today after suffering a massive stroke. He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.”

The statement continued, “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning.”

Luke started acting in the 1980s. He appeared on daytime soap operas Loving and Another World.

His big break was being cast as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210. The show turned him into a beloved teen heart throb.

In 2017, he returned to teen dramas on CW’s Riverdale, where he played Archie’s dad Fred Andrews.

Luke also filmed a role in this summer’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.

Fox announced a 90210 reboot on February 27. Luke was not set to appear because of his commitment to Riverdale.
