Fame has learned the actor, 53, has found a benefactor to help him handle the dire financial crisis he’s been dealing with since last year, when he couldn’t afford $75,000 in monthly child support payments.
Longtime producer and nightclub owner Elie Samaha has stepped in to infuse the cash-strapped star with enough money to keep his seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom Beverly Hills mansion from going into foreclosure.
“Charlie and Elie go way back,” explains our insider. “It’s easy to hang around during the good years — it’s another to stick around for the lean years.” The two even discussed the possibility of Charlie hosting a live podcast that could potentially revive his career!
