As Wiz Khalifa continues to blast Amber Rose on Twitter, she’s taking the opportunity to open up about their split. The couple announced their separation in September, with the model alleging that her husband of just over a year had cheated, but now, it seems, she’s moving on.
“It wasn’t over for me for a long time, but I cried it out. I cried a lot…a lot,” Amber admitted to Power 105.1. “Like, all day, every day I cried and cried and wanted him to come home. But, you know, he’s young, he has a lot of life to live. But now that I’m done crying, it doesn’t bother me anymore. Now’s my time to live and be and meet new people.”
According to the 31-year-old, she decided to end things based on the lifestyle her husband was living…while she was home taking care of their toddler son. “That’s not my husband, that’s not the man I know,” she said of the rapper. “But apparently that’s who he is now and I don’t want to be a part of that.”
Still, she couldn’t help but include some praise for the rapper. “You have to understand…the man that I married, that I know, wasn’t the guy I’ve seen him becoming,” she explained. “The people he was hanging out with…he was just changing, for me. Wiz isn’t a bad guy. He’s an amazing guy, he has a great personality, a great spirit — that’s why I married him. But, you know, things happened…people make mistakes.”
And, while she has filed for divorce, she’s not ruling out the opportunity of getting back together sometime down the line. “I’ll never say never,” she shrugged. “He’s the father of my child and he’s still technically my husband and Ill always love him. But right now, what he’s doing, I’m not about that.”
Plus, Amber made sure to clear up rumors that she’d started a romance with recently-single Nick Cannon, explaining that he’s just her manager and “like family,” and discussed the scandalous video of her grinding on Chris Brown at the club. “After a long period of [Wiz] doing a lot of things to me, I did some petty things when my feelings were hurt, for sure. Like dancing on Chris Brown at the club,” she laughed. “But this is the thing — Chris Brown is family, he’s a brother. It was like I’m being petty, but it ain’t with someone that I actually had potential to be with. So it kind of was just a little pettiness, I was just having a good time. It was just a 20 second dance. I didn’t do it on purpose…when me and Wiz were together I would never do it at all. But it was like, ‘F–k it, I’m single. I’m just going to have fun.'”
