She may not be able to personally let us know it, but Joan Rivers is feeling the love. The Fashion Police host was hospitalized after she stopped breathing during a minor throat surgery on Thursday, and has since been put into a medically induced coma. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, has issued a statement to the public on her behalf.
“My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world,” she told E! “Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask you to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.”
The 81-year-old is being treated for at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Last night, Melissa revealed, “She is resting comfortably and is with our family.”
