Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen may have retired from acting, but their little sister, Elizabeth Olsen, is just getting started. During an interview with MTV, the 24-year-old admitted that she’s joined the cast of the Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron.
Rumors that Elizabeth would be joining the anticipated film began last month, when Samuel L. Jackson accidentally alluded to her casting in an interview. Now, she’s confirmed herself that she’ll play the Scarlet Witch, reuniting with her Godzilla costar, Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
“We get to play husband and wife, and we get to play twin brother and sister,” she explained. “It’s also fun because even though in Godzilla we play husband and wife, we don’t have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I’m so excited we get to work with each other more and to actually work with each other. I think it’s going to be fun.”
Additionally, the actress revealed she doesn’t know much in terms of the details of her role just yet. However, she will be joining a star-studded cast, which also includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chis Evans, Mark Ruffalo and more. The film is set to be released on May 1, 2015.
