It’s been three and a half years since Katherine Heigl famously left Grey’s Anatomy and started focusing on her film career, but soon, the actress may be returning to the small screen. She is reportedly in talks to star as the main character in a new drama series that is currently being shopped to multiple cable and broadcast networks.
In the new show, Katherine would work for the CIA, playing an adviser/communications liaison for the President. The plot line would focus on how the CIA handles hotspots around the world, and the 34-year-old actress would also play a role behind the scenes as an executive producer.
Because multiple networks are currently displaying interest and making offers for the show, a decision isn’t expected to be made until at least next week regarding where the drama will air.
