The tragic tale of Princess Diana is finally coming to the big screen, and Naomi Watts is faced with the difficult task of portraying a legend. In a brand, new trailer for the biopic Diana, though, we see Naomi bear an uncanny resemblance to the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.
In the trailer, we get a glimpse of Diana struggling to deal with fame in her new lifestyle that is far different from the carefree life she was used to. The one-minute clip shows Naomi in a series of different scenes, mostly with one thing in common: paparazzi. The movie tells the story of the final years of Diana’s life as she tried to escape Buckingham Palace, leading up to her untimely death.
Unfortunately, the film doesn’t have a release date in the United States just yet, but it’s set to hit theaters in the U.K. on Sept. 20. Get your first look below:
