He skyrocketed to fame and fortune in his band Maroon 5 and as a judge on The Voice, but when it comes to acting, Adam Levine is just along for the ride. The singer made his big screen debut in the movie Begin Again, but revealed to USA Today that he did so free of charge.
“I did this movie for no money,” he admitted. “I’m very lucky that I’m in that position. I want to have good experiences. I don’t want to do a bunch of s— that I hate. I want to treat [acting] completely differently because I have the very fortunate luxury of not having to think of this in terms of money.”
Plus, despite a few recent interviews where the 35-year-old couldn’t stop gushing about fiance, Behati Prinsloo, he kept his usual stoic self regarding the upcoming wedding. “She’s incredible and that alone makes me the luckiest person in the world,” was all he managed on the subject of the Victoria’s Secret model.
Begin Again is in theaters now.
