Four months after Paul Walker’s death, the custody battle over his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, begins. Per the actor’s wish, his mother, Cheryl Ann Walker, filed a petition on Tuesday to get full guardianship of the teenager.
Meadow lived with her mom, the Fast and Furious star’s ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Soteros, for years, but moved to California with her dad in 2011. The custody papers state that Meadow lived with her grandmother since August 2012, and that giving Rebecca “parental custody would be detrimental to the minor.”
The petition also mentions that, “The mother has a drinking problem.” A hearing on the guardianship petition is set for April 30, exactly five months after Paul died in a tragic car accident at the age of 40.
