Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle Connect Over Business, Motherhood and Branding in a Growing “Text Friendship”
They may not be best friends, but Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed that she and her Montecito, Calif., neighbor Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex have a “text friendship.”
A few months ago, the 52-year-old Goop founder playfully squashed feud rumors, posting a video with the With Love, Meghan star, who is also a player in the lifestyle market with her As Ever brand. Now, says Gwyneth, she’d even be willing to appear on the former Suits star’s Netflix lifestyle series.
“Sure! Why not? You never know,” Gwyneth told a news outlet. “I don’t bake that well, but I can always try.”
In March, the Oscar winner got serious about her alleged feud with the 43-year-old, objecting to people trying to pit women against each other. “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” she told Vanity Fair. An insider tells Star the Duchess is eager to have a relationship with Gwyneth IRL. “It’s a big win for Meghan to have a bona fide A-lister on her side in the cutthroat world of Hollywood.”
