Part 2 of the hit movie, an adaptation of the second act of the Broadway musical, takes places years after the events of Wicked. In Wicked: For Good, former BFFs Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) are estranged and the conniving Wizard (Jeff Goldlbum) has exiled Elphaba because she opposes his plan to silence the animals.
Glinda knows the truth but keeps quiet in return for her new role as Oz’s beloved “good witch,” who’s also a foil to the “wicked” Elphaba. Eventually though, the firehose of lies from the Wizard and his deputy Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) begins to weigh on Glinda, and her engagement to Fiyero (newly christened Sexiest Man Alive Jonathan Bailey) makes her even more miserable, as she knows he’s still in love with Elphaba.

Then a tornado brings Dorothy from Kansas, setting off a gale that will change Elphaba and Glinda’s relationship — and the Land of Oz — forever.
Destined to be a blockbuster like its predecessor, For Good has so much going for it— gorgeous sets, great performances (both Erivo and Grande received Oscar nods for part 1) and a beloved score that includes two new songs from the musical’s composer, Stephen Schwartz.
