Labubu dolls have become celebrities’ favorite new item.
Labubu began as a female character in Hong Kong-based author Kasing Lung‘s picture book series, The Monsters, in 2015.
These plush toys, sold exclusively by the Chinese toy company Pop Mart, are equal parts cute and scary. While there are hundreds of variations of Labubu, the standard design features rabbit ears, expressive eyes and a smile with sharp teeth.

Additionally, Labubu is sold in blind boxes, meaning you don’t know which version you’re getting until you open the packaging, making some of these monsters very exclusive.
Labubu may seem like an inexpensive and accessible toy, but they sell out quickly and can go for hundreds of dollars on the resale market.

Lisa was the first major celebrity to bring Labubu into the spotlight in the United States.
The Blackpink member told Teen Vogue in April, “Labubu is my baby,” and has been seen with the plush creatures multiple times.
Simone Biles
The GOAT keeps her Labubu dolls decked out in designer.
On Wednesday, May 28, the Olympic gymnast posted a photo of two Labubu dolls wearing Gucci outfits on her Instagram Story.
“Creepy or cute?” she wrote on the snap. “I can’t tell, but since I’m in Asia, I just HAD TO.”
Biles mentioned Hailey Bieber in her post, writing, “very specific like @haileybieber said.”
The Rhode founder weighed in by reposting the story, adding, “Very specificcccc!!!!! 😂.”
Kim Kardashian
The reality TV star has no shortage of Labubu dolls.

Many people love Labubu as a bag charm, and that seems to be the case for the nine-time Grammy Award winner.
The “Diamonds” singer was seen rocking a Labubu keychain on her Louis Vuitton purse earlier this year.

The iconic TV personality is on board with Labubu.
She recently posted a video on TikTok of her signing a Labubu keychain for a fan.
