Dorothy, we’re not in Kansas anymore! Part one of the bigscreen adaptation of the Broadway musical starts pre-Dorothy and Toto — instead focusing on the friendship between Glinda (Grande) and Elphaba (Erivo), sorcery students in the Land of Oz.
But just like in the Land of Earth, a guy — in this case, the Wizard of Oz — comes between them, leading them to discover their separate destinies as Glinda the Good Witch and her gravity-defying foe, the Wicked Witch of the West.
