In an effort to continue showing he can be considered a serious and legitimate actor, Zac Efron stars in the upcoming movie Parkland. A trailer for the film hit the web on Wednesday.
The film takes place in Dallas, centered around the chaotic events that took place at Parkland Hospital on the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. In the movie, Zac plays a young doctor who is unexpectedly front and center in the operating room when the President is brought in.
Other well-known names starring in Parkland include Marcia Gay Harden, Paul Giamatti, Jacki Weaver, Tom Welling and Billy Bob Thornton. The film hits theaters on Sept. 20, coinciding with the anniversary of Kennedy’s death. Check out the trailer:
