WATCH: Lady Gaga & Christina Aguilera Put Feud Rumors to Rest With Powerful Duet

Feud — what feud? Lady Gaga appeared on The Voice finale Tuesday to sing her song “Do What U Want,” and was joined by one of the show’s own coaches, Christina Aguilera, for the performance. After a powerful show in matching outfits, the ladies took a moment to praise one another and hopefully put rumors of their 2008 feud to rest.

To start, Gaga mentioned that when the show invited her to perform, she immediately questioned whether or not Xtina might want to join her on stage. The “We Remain” singer admitted she was equally excited to duet.

“This is the first time we’ve ever met, and I have to say, when I heard she wanted to collaborate, I said, ‘Of course! Lady Gaga!’ I’ve been waiting to meet her!” Christina explained. “She’s such an innovative artist and a risk taker and as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that.”

To further push the point that there’s no bad blood between the artists, she continued, “[Gaga’s] the most down-to-earth, real person I’ve ever met in this business. Female to female, in this industry, it’s really hard to find that kind of person. I love you, girl, and you deserve everything you’ve earned!”

Earlier this year, the “Applause” singer did her best to clear up the rumors on her own. “I’m a very big fan of Christina Aguilera,” she admitted. “From the very beginning of when my career started, there was all this controversy about the two of us. I always felt that was very unfair.”
