The world sure has changed since Kevin Bacon was a kid! The actor points out this fact in a new, viral video for Mashable, in which he gives a PSA for ’80s awareness.
In the video, the 55-year-old explains to a younger generation how hard it was growing up in the 1980s compared to now. “If I was too shy to ask a girl out, there was no ‘Okay Twinder,'” he says. “I went to the White Pages — Google it! — and called her house. Then you had to make small talk with her mom for, like, 20 minutes.”
Throughout the rant, The Following star also discusses the Rubik’s Cube and Cold War, at which point, the camera shifts away and he’s out of frame. “Hey, hey! I’m trying to make a point here. You guys can’t pay attention for more than two minutes?!” he yells.
At that point, Kevin walks off the set, and approaches a long line of teenagers on smart phones. “You people will never know the comfort of parachute pants,” he concludes.
