No matter the plot, a movie starring Ryan Gosling is bound to get some buzz. Even when the hunky actor only has 17 lines in the entire film. That’s the case with his upcoming project Only God Forgives, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week.
Unfortunately, there was one very important incentive missing from the premiere — Ryan, himself! The actor had a previous obligation in Detroit, where he’s working on another film. Even though Ryan wrote a personal letter to Cannes apologizing for missing out, it wasn’t enough for the movie to receive positive reviews.
In fact, fans reportedly booed the film after seeing it at the premiere! Critics were no easier on the project…hear what harsh words they had to say in the video below:
