Katie Maloney was hit with a cruel fat-shaming incident in the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules at a wild party that ended with Jax Taylor being thrown out by Lisa Vanderpump herself.
Stassi Schroeder was in charge of the Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine party celebrating Vanderpump’s new role as editor-in-chief, and the drama went down at the fancy soiree.
A tearful Maloney told Vanderpump that while she was serving appetizers, designer Kevin Lee accosted her over her weight.
She said Lee asked her “What happened to you? Looks like you gained a lot of weight.”
Lee was shown telling Maloney: “You gained a little bit of weight. You have to work on it. Seriously. I’m telling you it’s out of control now.”
Vanderpump was shocked. “I’m furious at him because I never think it is ok for a man to comment in a derogatory way about woman’s appearance.”
She reassured Maloney that she was not fat. “You are gorgeous. You are one of the most beautiful girls in the restaurant.”
Maloney told Schroeder and Kristen Doute about Lee’s comments. “If he had told me this last year I don’t know if I would be able to take it. I’ve worked hard to be in shape and feel good. It’s a bit of a slap in the face.
Despite his harsh comments, she proved that she did have a high level of self-esteem.
“As long as a woman feels good inside her own skin there is nothing more beautiful than that,” she said. “I’ve worked really hard in the last year.”
Taylor’s obnoxious behavior at the same party got him thrown out. He showed up an hour late, leaving Ariana Madix to bartend alone.
“This was my night tonight. I asked you to be here. You’re a selfish a**hole,” Vanderpump told him. “I apologize,” he said, but it was too late.
Taylor and Carwright only fought at the end of the episode when he attacked Doute for trying to sabotage their relationship.
“Kristen is the biggest b***h there is. She’s probably one of the most annoying people I’ve ever met in my life,” Taylor said after yelling at her, but Cartwright was not happy.
“This is not in our agreement this isn’t us moving forward. You’re supposed to be changing and you’re acting like a lunatic.”
Schroeder had a meltdown when Billie Lee said she was warned about being on her podcast because of her racist comments on air.
“I hope you school Stassi’s a** on her f**king privilege because this b***h actually takes pride in being ignorant,” Madix said about her. Schroeder was stunned.
“F**k this. It’s a whole other level of vindictiveness.”
“Listeners tweeted me and emailed me. I was like, f**k, I feel bad. I don’t know everything yet. I am not that at all, I love anyone unless you’re an a**hole,” she explained after she made the comments.
“To s**t on my podcast, to s**t on my values. It makes me really upset. It’s such a serious thing to say about someone”
