Tracy Morgan's First Interview Since Car Accident--"There Are Times Where I Have My Good Days And My Bad Days"

He’s better, but he’s not the same comedian we all remember.

Tracy Morgan sat down for an interview with Matt Lauer—this being the first time he’s spoken about the car accident that left his close friend James McNair (Jimmy Mac) dead and left Tracy suffering with severe brain trauma, a broken femur, ribs, nose and leg almost one year ago.

“Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal,” Morgan shared with Lauer about losing Jimmy.

“There are times where I have my good days and my bad days. Where I forget things. There are times where I got the headaches and the nosebleeds, and I won’t even let my lady know because I don’t want her to be worried about it.”

Tracy kept his jokes out of the interview, but he says he will return to comedy.  “I love comedy, and I can’t wait to get back to her, but right now my goal is just to heal, and get better. ‘Cause I’m not 100 percent yet,” Morgan adds.
