Tom Hiddleston may have been hurt when Taylor Swift dumped him, but the 35-year-old English actor’s career appears to be taking off. He was caught admitting on Sept. 17 that his new show The Night Manager could be his best role ever — ignoring his romance bust with Taylor. “It’s one of the most exciting roles I’ve ever played,” Tom said.
The new series has been nominated for 10 Emmys this year — including a nomination for Best Actor. But while the recently single actor may be looking forward to scooping up awards, his team is concerned he may have his first run-in with the 26-year-old singer at the Emmys Sunday night. “Taylor is still on the guest list. But everyone on Team Tom is hoping and praying she’ll do the decent thing and stay at home and watch it on TV for his sake,” an insider told Daily Star Sunday. “He is still shellshocked over their split and just setting eyes on her could send him into a tailspin.”
The 2016 Emmys will air Sept. 18 at 5:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
