Skyler Bouchard’s Food-Related Beauty Hacks Are Used By Kourtney Kardashian, Blake Lively And More

Skyler Bouchard shares four food-related beauty trends approved by the stars.

Who needs an expensive spa trip when it’s possible to take part in several celebrity-approved beauty hacks without ever leaving the house? In fact, according to Dining With Skyler founder Skyler Bouchard, all that’s needed to turn your beauty routine into a regimen fit for a star is a trip to the kitchen. Just watch the video above!

First up, Skyler explains how you can have your own wine bath, a popular spa treatment amongst Hollywood heavyweights, using only wine tannin powder and water at home. Surprisingly, Skyler says the mixture doesn’t stain your skin and leaves you feeling youthful and smooth. “The tannins in red wine have polyphenols and resveratrol, and they’re antioxidants that can fight against aging and really help with your skin,” she explains, adding that only red wine will do the trick.

Next up, Skyler, who is the host of Food Network’s digital series Treat Yourself With Skyler, whips up a body scrub using coconut oil – a versatile favorite of stars such as Blake Lively, Miranda Kerr and Gwyneth Paltrow – and brown sugar. As she points out, the coconut oil acts as a natural softener and moisturizer, while the coarse texture of brown sugar makes it a great exfoliator. Talk about a quick and easy beauty hack!

Switching gears from skin to hair, Skyler then throws together an avocado hair mask using avocado, olive oil and a few drops of orange essential oil, just like the one often touted by The Hills alum Lauren Conrad. As Skyler notes, the trendy green fruit is good for your hair, skin and nails because of “the Omega-3s and the healthy fats” found in avocado. “It’s a natural moisturizer,” she adds.

Last but not least, Skyler’s caviar facial – which is a simple mix of caviar and olive oil that can go right on your face – is something she thinks the Kardashians would “live” for. In fact, Skyler notes that Kourtney Kardashian has been spotted getting caviar facials in the past. “The reason people do this is because of the Omega-3s, Omega-6s, they’re really healthy fats,” she says. And even though a caviar facial sounds expensive, there’s no need for a Kardashian-sized budget since certain jars of the delicacy retail for about $10. “Have a caviar facial party,” Skyler advises.
